[en] Marble, a material with a great history, is back in the decorative limelight after having been associated with purely classical styles over many years. Decorating in marble, or with materials that simiulate marble, gives a very cool look to any living space. Nowadays this material is present especially in kitchen and bathroom tops and even more so in accessories and decorative objects such as tables, vases, shelves and lamps. Even though we can find it in many different colour schemes, it is white marble (known as carrara marble) which is by far the most popular. It’s white tone with grey veins combines perfectly with any other material. Due to its reputation as a “cold” material, it combines very well with warmer, more comfortable textures such as wood. It also looks great with black accessories and those in a brass finish. It is becoming increasingly more common to find it in projects involving the restoration of old houses and also newer constructions such as in those which we show you here.
If you choose to go for the marble option in your kitchen, remember that amongst our wide range of knobs and handles there are many models (manufactured in wood or metallics in a black or a brass-like finish) which would be a perfect way to add more modern connotations to this most lively of materials. We are particularly referring to handles such as Nick, Sense mini, Vann or U, all of which you can find in our catalogue.
